Spanish 1 (2nd Edition) presents the basics of the Spanish language as spoken in Latin America.
Students will learn basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammatical structures.  They will also expand their
horizons through the cultural-historical highlights and get a glimpse of the Spanish-speaking world as a mission
field.  Students will develop a beginning reading and conversational ability.
Listening, reading, writing and speaking skills will be developed throughout the course.

•        Regular Verbs –ar, -er, -ir in the present tense
•        Irregular Verbs in the present tense
•        Reflexive Verbs

•        Latin American Countries/Cultural Notes
•        Spanish Bible Verses

Monthly Tuition: $55 per student.  A onetime fee of $30 (for copies & materials) will be required before classes
begin. Students planning to take this class should be 13 years or older.  *

Material Needed: Bob Jones Curriculum =  Spanish 1 (Second Edition) student’s textbook + Activities Manual Book
+ CD set (12 CDs).  In addition to this, students need a notebook, a Spanish/English Dictionary, a 3 ring binder
with 4 dividers/tabs, pen/pencil, a marker, and small white cards to do flashcards.
