New Testament Survey
This course will provide a one-year survey of the books of the New Testament. In addition to examining the life and words of Jesus Christ and their significance for the believer and the world, special attention will be given to the centrality of the Kingdom of God and the meaning of the Gospel. The epistles will be presented chronologically and we will compare the eschatological positions on the Book of Revelation. The importance of the Old Testament covenantal context and other background for the New Testament will be in view throughout this class, e.g. Jesus as fulfillment of Prophet, Priest and King; Daniel and Ezekiel’s bearing on Revelation, etc. The class will also serve as an introduction to fruitful personal Bible study methods.
