Middle School Bible: A Discovery of and Expedition through Scripture
Taught by Rev. Matt Kasper
455 Summerfield Drive, Alpharetta, GA 30022
Class Description:
“A Discovery of and Expedition through Scripture,” taught by Rev. Matt Kasper, is designed to maximize the interaction with and appreciation of the Bible in an age appropriate manner. The first quarter of our class will be spent on the “discovery” aspect, specifically, by teaching basic Bible study methods that will enhance the student’s comprehension of Scripture. The rest of the course will be an “Expedition” through the books of the Bible, which will be ideal for kids who are familiar with the Bible stories but would like to witness how they fit together into a profound tapestry of God’s redemptive plan. The class we will include both academic and creative projects that will integrate writing, multi-media, Bible memory, and group interaction. The ancient texts beckon to modern kids and urge them to be soldiers for and servants of Christ. My desire is to equip modern kids to understand this ancient call and to fulfill their ultimate destiny in God’s will.
Required texts:
“Knowing God’s Word” booklet
“Route 66” - Both materials will be provided for the student.
The student is also expected to bring their own copy of the New International Version of the Bible to every class.
Fees:
$150 per student per semester, or $250 for two students from the same family per semester. Monthly or semester payments are acceptable.
