Class Description-
The discovery of how things work in this world we live in is exciting in and of itself. It is even more exciting
when discovering it through the arts. When we learn about science through the arts we are able to see
the world through different lenses, opening our minds to think more creatively and to “think outside the
box.” This holistic approach to teaching has been my philosophy for the past 15 years of teaching children
from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Having a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts and Philosophy as well as a
Masters and Specialist degree in Education, I have been fortunate enough to be able to put theory into
practice into the elementary classroom for many years. I have found that students learn best and are
more motivated not only when they learn by doing and but also when they learn through the arts. This
class will explore the different topics in the earth, physical, and life sciences through art and literature
appropriate for children in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.

Tuition: $180 for September-December; $225 for January-May. Payments may be made at $45 per month
for 9 months.
Registration: $25
