The Scientific Process class is a hands-on class that
teaches the student how to use and think through the
steps of the scientific process. Each month a new topic
will be reviewed in class, and hands-on experiments
will be done each week to help the students
understand the concepts being taught. Topics will
include: Electricity, Magnetism, Reactions, Force,
Motion, and more. We will use the steps of the
scientific method not only to solve problems in class,
but also to see how scientists throughout history have
used these steps to make many of the discoveries we
take for granted today.
One long term project will be completed each semester
involving using the steps of the scientific method as a
way to prepare students to take part in a Science Fair
exhibition. This will give them the hands-on experience
of completing a project like this, but with guidance and
assistance along the way.
This class will have minimal homework weekly. Most
work will be completed in class.
Tuition: $50 per month
Supply/Lab/Copy Fee: $50 No text book will be used.
Instead we will use a variety of sources the teacher has
collected. Due to the amount of copies and lab
supplies that will be needed a one-time fee of $50 will
be collected per student to cover these costs for the
year. The only other purchase the student will need to
make is a copy book to take notes in for the term
projects.
Upon enrolling and attending classes, you are
financially responsible for that semester’s tuition. All
fees are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled.

Family Fees
The membership fee for Dunwoody Classes for 2010-2011
will be $40 per semester for one student or $60 per
semester for multiple students enrolled, which
includes unlimited class choices. The membership fee is
made payable to Becky Humphrey and must be paid before
or by the first day of class.
The facility fee for each family this year is $40 for the entire
school year. A separate check needs to be made out to
North Peachtree Baptist Church in the amount of $40
and sent or delivered to Becky Humphrey on or before the
first day of classes.
Teacher registration and tuition are made payable separately
to the individual teachers.
