Margaret Shuman has taught more than twenty years, nine of those in public and private traditional school classrooms. She has a BA degree and teaching certificate in secondary English education and an MA in speech and drama. Margaret has taught speech on the college level and is a certified AP English instructor, in both AP Literature and Language. She has also been employed by the College Board testing service to score the SAT essay, and teaches verbal prep workshops. Margaret enjoys teaching literature with an eye for the drama and history behind each work, and teaching speech and writing with a focus on life skills and college preparation. The Shumans homeschooled Perry, currently at Georgia Tech, “all the way through.”
