Beginning with an overview of the events and ideas leading to the writing of the U. S. Constitution,
this course will then take an in-depth look at the document, studying all of the articles and
amendments plus significant Supreme Court decisions, with a special emphasis on the election
process. Students, in grades 9 through 12, will also be exposed to the necessity and basis of
government with the citizen’s rights and responsibilities emphasized. The goal will be to produce
informed and active citizens.
Day & Time: Thursday, 9:30-11:00
Registration fee: $25 one time, non-refundable fee
Tuition: $200 for the semester may be paid at $50 per month, September through December

World Geography and Current Events, spring semester 2009

This course will encompass the five themes of geography: location, place, human-environment
interaction, movement, and region. Each theme will be approached from a Biblical worldview.
Countries from each continent will be selected and studied based on their relevance in the current
news. Students will get plenty of experience with maps, physical and cultural features of countries
and regions, features of other religions, and characteristics of government systems.

Tuition: $250 for the semester, which may be paid monthly
