Topics to be covered:
1.Key Biblical Selections with Literature that relates to
them.
2.Recognizing Biblical allusions, symbols, themes in
literature and the other humanities, including the
visual arts.
3.Procedures for Systematic Upper Level Reading:(all
of this within the Bible)

Interpretation
Application
Key Questions to ask when reading
Looking at key terms and phrases, structure
arrangement, atmosphere, and literary form.
Looking at prose, poetry, narration, parables, proverbs,
etc.
Historical and cultural setting.
Figures of Speech: simile, metaphor, personification,
idioms, hyperbole, and irony(again, all examples from
the Bible)
4.Guided independant Biographical and Topical studies.
Tuition: $50 month
Registration: $25
Bible Study Methods Textbook: $20
Other textbooks are provided by the teacher.
Dunwoody Classes
2010-2011
Family Fees
The membership fee for Dunwoody Classes for 2010-2011
will be $40 per semester for one student or $60 per
semester for multiple students enrolled, which
includes unlimited class choices. The membership fee is
made payable to Becky Humphrey and must be paid before
or by the first day of class.
The facility fee for each family this year is $40 for the entire
school year. A separate check needs to be made out to
North Peachtree Baptist Church in the amount of $40
and sent or delivered to Becky Humphrey on or before the
first day of classes.
Teacher registration and tuition are made payable
separately to the individual teachers.
