Course Description:
The purpose of an AP course in macroeconomics is to give students a thorough understanding of the
principles of economics that apply to an economic system as a whole. Such a course places particular
emphasis on the study of national income and price-level determination while developing students’
familiarity with economic performance measures, the financial sector, stabilization policies, economic
growth and international economics.
Topics include: Supply and Demand, Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy, Investments, Demand for Money,
Loanable Funds, GDP, Determination of Interest Rates, Spending Multipliers, Inflation, International
Finance, Exchange Rate Determination, Investment Options, and Personal Finance topics.
Based on demand this course can be offered as an AP course or a regular economics course.
Students will be required to purchase their own textbook
Tuition: $65 per month per student

Family Membership Fee
The membership fee for Dunwoody Classes for 2009-2010 will be $75 per semester for one student and
$100 per semester for families with multiple students. The membership fee includes the facility fee and
unlimited choices of classes for all students within the family. Teacher registration and tuition are made
payable separately to the individual teachers. The membership fee is made payable to Becky Humphrey
and must be paid before or by the first day of class. This one membership fee and the teacher fees are
the only fees that will be assessed
