Exploring US History through Literature and Creative Activities
3rd through 5th Graders

Part II- 1800 through present
The students will read historical fiction and sometimes just fictional novels pertaining to
the historical period at home. We will discuss these books using different literature and
history activities. The students may also experience skits, arts and crafts, or other projects
such as timelines and creative book reports.
The following are some of the books being considered. The booklist is in process. Any
suggestions would be appreciated:

Registration: $25
Tuition: $200 – first semester; $250- second semester
Payment Plan: $50 per month for nine months

Family Membership Fee
The membership fee includes the facility fee and unlimited choices of classes for all
students within the family. Teacher registration and tuition are made payable separately to
the individual teachers. The membership fee is made payable to Becky Humphrey and must
be paid before or by the first day of class. This one membership fee and the teacher fees
are the only fees that will be assessed. Please contact teacher for details.
